So you may be wondering what all this business is about. There is a short answer and a long answer, but for brevity and the internet’s sake I will stick to the short answer here. bRhetoric LLC is a Madison Wisconsin based communications LLC, the brainchild of Brett Wm Stroud. Not only is bRhetoric a full service Graphic Design company, but I also offer writing, strategy, programming (XHTML & CSS) & fine art services. It is the fusion of the three components of Rhetoric as defined by Aristotle. Ethos is the authority and credibility of the speaker, usually based upon your reputation around town. Basically do you know what the hell you're talking about. Pathos is the second part of the puzzle, making an emotional appeal to the viewer/listener. That sad looking polar bear floating on a lonely iceberg? That's some sweet Pathos for climate change. The third part, Logos, appeals to logic and reasoning to engage the end user. 87% of people believe the preceding statement is true. Ok so I made up that last statistic, but you get the idea. Aren't all statistics made up any way?

Here at bRhetoric all of these facets of a message are researched to be the most effective for the target market. That just about covers the standard makings of any graphic design business, but certainly not where bRhetoric ends.

The creative fountainhead of many of my ideas and influences comes from Ceramics and Screen Printing. Both mediums offer amazing possibilities and different pros and cons. Working with clay develops the 3D and structural know-how, while screen printing requires page layout and color knowledge. They form the foundation of how to inspire, plan, build, execute and showcase all the work that comes from bRhetoric. The roots around here go deep into the ground, a rainbow of colors.
